Multan Sultans Innings: Shan Masood Fights Alone
Multan Sultans had a horror start with the bat and never recovered. Three wickets fell inside the first five overs, with Steven Smith (13), Sahibzada Farhan (15), and Josh Philippe (6) all dismissed cheaply. By the time Ashton Turner was caught in the seventh over, Sultans were 51/4 and struggling badly.
Shan Masood was the one Sultans batter who showed up. He batted through the innings for an unbeaten 69 off 46 balls, hitting four fours and four sixes. His effort was the only reason Sultans reached 159. Without him it would have been far worse. Mohammad Nawaz chipped in with 18 down the order but nothing else contributed meaningfully.
Extras hurt Sultans too. Nine wides and a no-ball added 10 unnecessary runs to a total their bowlers eventually could not defend.

The Kingsmen bowling was disciplined and varied. Hunain Shah, Akif Javed, and Mohammad Ali each picked up two wickets. Saim Ayub was the most economical with figures of 1/23 off four overs. Glenn Maxwell also removed Arafat Minhas with a timely breakthrough in the seventh over.

Kingsmen Chase: Maaz and Usman Khan Go Berserk
The chase was a demolition job. Marnus Labuschagne fell early for 11 in the second over but that was the last real moment of concern for Hyderabad. Usman Khan and Maaz Sadaqat took complete control from the third over onwards and never looked back.
Usman Khan was the aggressor early, racing to his fifty off just 29 balls with eight fours and a six. He eventually fell for 64 off 35 balls, caught by Mohammad Nawaz off a Steve Smith part-timer. By that point the game was long over.
Maaz Sadaqat was just as destructive. He reached his half-century off 25 balls and finished unbeaten on 64 off 33, finishing the job alongside Saim Ayub who made 15 off 15 to see them home. The second-wicket partnership of 102 off 52 balls was the heart of the chase and there was nothing Multan’s bowlers could do about it.
The Hyderabad Kingsmen squad has been quietly building momentum and this was their most complete performance of the season.
